The European Association for the Study of Gambling (EASG) is proud to announce the 15th European Conference on Gambling Studies and Policy Issues, to be held in the vibrant city of Copenhagen, Denmark, from 8 to 11 September 2026.

Under the inspiring working title “From Breaking Barriers to Building Bridges,” this edition will explore how collaboration, innovation, and shared understanding can shape the future of gambling research, regulation, and practice.

Themes and Focus Areas

The 2026 conference will shine a spotlight on some of the most dynamic developments in the field, including:

- New trends in the regulatory landscape – exploring shifts in gambling laws, enforcement strategies, and cross-border cooperation.
- The role of Artificial Intelligence in (Responsible) Gambling – from data-driven prevention and detection tools to ethical considerations and player protection.
- Sustainability and diversity – examining how inclusivity, environmental awareness, and social responsibility are reshaping the sector.

With over 110 presentations across three intensive days, participants can expect to gain insights into the latest research, practices, and emerging trends—covering a far broader range of topics than ever before.

For more than 25 years, the EASG Conference has been recognized as Europe’s largest and most respected event dedicated to gambling studies and policy issues—some even say it’s the most influential gathering in the world.
